7.3.1 Daily cleaning and maintenance
Cleaning the retort lid
Remove wax from the inside of the retort lid with the plastic scraper
provided. Make sure to remove all wax from around the retort lid
seal.
For convenience, the lid may be removed during cleaning by lifting it
vertically and sliding it towards the console.
Cleaning the retort
The retort may be wiped clean using a cloth moistened with solvent
(xylene or alcohol) or mild detergent. Ensure that the air holes at the
top front of the retort are open - remove all dirt!
Cleaning the retort strainer
Use alcohol or xylene to clean the strainer located at the bottom of
the retort. For convenience, the strainer may be taken out to remove
all solid dirt.
Cleaning the touch screen
On the MENU FUNCTIONS screen press CLEAN TOUCH SCREEN.
Clean the touchscreen.
Press ENABLE EXIT and then BACK to return to MENU FUNCTIONS.
Cleaning the processor module top surface
Remove both lids for cleaning.
First scrape the stainless steel surface with the plastic scraper and
then wipe down.
Reagent and condensate bottle seal lubrication
To ensure easy removal of the reagent and condensate bottles, lu-
bricate the O-ring seals on the plug-in nozzles with the O-ring lubri-
cant supplied.
Check regularly whether the reagent bottles are still properly con-
nected to the connection manifolds in the instrument. Retighten, if
necessary.
